Sketches in charcoal pencil on good quality mixed media paper. Lots of shading and smudging.. it's never a good picture unless my hands and face are covered in pencil lead by the end of it. Sometimes I smudge so much that I end up drawing with my eraser. I like hand lettering & quotes, nautical theme, geometric minimalist theme, animals (special love for owls, elephants, whales, sea horses), mandalas, sun/moon and stars, abstract. I struggle with landscapes/scenery and portraits. I'm not too comfortable playing around with color yet.
